About CURC
CURC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization facilitating the exchange of technical knowledge and best practices for recycling and waste reduction programs among institutions of higher learning.

Mission Statement
To advance recycling and sustainable materials management at colleges and universities.
Who We Are
CURC represents a vibrant community of recycling and sustainability professionals in higher education led by a Board of Directors made up of recycling, zero waste and sustainability managers in North America. The organization’s roots date back to the 1990’s when CURC was originally formed as a technical council within the National Recycling Coalition. In 2009, CURC branched out as an independent 501(c)3 organization.
What We Do
CURC supports collegiate waste reduction programs through technical assistance, education, and training. Each year, CURC organizes and hosts a Webinar series on timely and innovative topics. CURC also helps connect members through an active email listserv (RECYC-L) and through informal gatherings in conjunction with state and national conferences.
