CURC is looking to recruit individuals who will provide the board with a diverse range of professional experience and knowledge of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and sustainability specific to colleges and universities, and a commitment to advancing justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion at all levels of the Board’s engagement.
CURC seeks to increase representation from individuals of color, as well as others whose identities have historically been underrepresented in higher education and/or formal sustainability roles. Additionally, we seek participation from different types and sizes of higher ed institutions across the U.S. and Canada and from a variety of positions within these institutions – including but not limited to sustainability officers, facilities managers, custodial supervisors, and faculty.
