Continuing our 2022 series of webinars, the June webinar discussed – how can we engage all of our community members in shared pursuit of waste reduction and diversion goals?

Engaging your campus community on waste reduction and diversion can be tricky. Do you focus on students or staff? Social media or tabling events? And how does it all tie in to education, research and operations? Even at schools with long established collection programs, recoverable materials all too often end up in the trash.
This webinar showcased a variety of ways to connect with your campus constituents to increase diversion rates, reduce the amount of waste coming onto campus and educate folks on trending ideas like Zero Waste. We also looked beyond campus borders at how our work might connect with external campus partners. Attendees took away best practices, new ideas and ways to make connections with others looking to solve these challenges.
