They say “rubbish” while we say “trash”. But whether you’re at school in the US, Canada or United Kingdom, we’re all driven by the same goal to reduce and divert as much of it as possible. This webinar featured three universities in the UK describing how they manage recycling, reuse and educational efforts to minimize waste. Presenters covered topics including collection arrangements, how circular economy principals influence strategic planning, food waste collections, reuse programs and a unique office certification program that prompts staff to set and evaluate their own progress toward recycling and sustainability goals.
